Problem

Our customer has a hydraulic powerpack working to its maximum capacity and due to this the oil temperature is at an extremely high level (near 100degC)

Due to it working at this level its inevitable that there will be hydraulic breakdowns with regards to pump failing, motor tripping out, oil degrading, seals becoming damaged causing leaks in the system. This is a critical piece of equipment the customer could not afford any downtime, s when the repair was required we had to act FAST.

Solution

Working with our cooler partner Emmegi we had to get the working pressure, flow rates, tank volume and temperature rise. Once we had this information our partner were able to calculate the correct cooler size to use. This was quoted to the customer along with all the supporting calculations. From the order being placed the cooler was built and supplied within 2-3 working days.

Result

The Cooler was installed quickly and working as required whilst the oil is being kept to the correct working temperature (40DegC). Again the customer was extremely happy with the service provided from Norton Fluid Power.

Another solution provided by Norton Fluid Power…..we do it better!
